Krue ~ Age 7

Krue is a busy guy at the age of seven.  Trying out everything to see what direction his activities and interests will take him.  This summer Krue is currently involved in:  Machine Pitch Baseball, Tennis Lessons, Violin Lessons, Wakeboarding, Riding his bike, Recreational Swimming, Basketball & Baseball Camps, Bible School, and Zoo Camp!  He recently told us he does not want to play football this year.  Krue has instead taken a huge interest in tennis.  That works for us!   I think tennis just may be his best sport.  We shall see...

Developing into a good little baseball player this year.

Krue always played the catcher this season.  Great Job!

Spring Break 2011 ~ Encinitas, CA

For Spring Break 2011 we decided to visit one of our favorite parts of the country... Southern California!    We had so much fun on our family vacation... Heath, Amy, and Leona went with us, too.  We also invited two high school girls, Sydney and Jayma, to go with us to help watch the kids so the grown-ups could get a little rest and relaxation as well (they were a huge help!)
All loaded up and ready to drive to the Indy airport.

Heath, Amy, and Leona ready to go, too!

The kids standing in front of the airplane that would be taking us to California.

The boys were so good on the plane.  Nintendo DS's help :)

Leona's first plane ride.

Amy, ready for Cali.

Kai was the only one we had to entertain the entire time.  She really wasn't too bad for being 1 1/2.

Kiefer and I on the plane.

Kai and Leona had fun together on this trip.
Cutie Leona!

Kai's "cheese" smile.

Looking at the ocean.  "Kai" means ocean :)

Pictures of the beach house we stayed in.
We had an indoor pool!  The boys loved this.

Real flowers in her hair.

Lee was in his element... waxing his surfboard and surfing every morning.

Our view from our patio.

Love this shot!  Leona fully enjoying the ocean sounds and shade.

Lee, Heath, and Phil Wanner working their way out to catch some waves.

Lee walking the beach with his surfboard.

Taking a stroll to the beach.

Surfer Lee (too bad he lives in a landlocked state!)

The kids had fun in the sand (even though it wasn't the nicest).

You can see our beach house in this picture (to the right of the big three story, cement building)

Kai and Daddy taking in the ocean.

The kids eating breakfast and watching tv in the mornings.

The San Diego Zoo!

Cute

This was the second time the boys had been to this zoo.

Kai loved seeing the orangutan and her baby interact.

All of us at the zoo!

Love this pic of Kruser.

The boys having fun.
Kiefer and Kai sharing the stroller.

We went to Old Town San Diego for dinner that day.

He was the only kid we saw make it all the way to the top!
Coming back down.  He was so proud of himself!

Kiefer, driving a car all by himself.

Krue took driving a car very seriously.  They both got a "license" for this.

We had dinner with Phil and Jenny Wanner one night... at Jakes!

Krue with Flat Stanley getting ready to surf.

We went to Disneyland one day.

Toon Town
So much fun!

Kai loved the carousal at Disneyland... she rode on Mrs. Disney's horse (it is the only one that has a gold tooth).

Lee bought a surfboard while we were in California.  We had to cram it into our rental car until we shipped it home.  Oh Lee.

It was a very fun, memorable family vacation!
