Winter Wonderland

A week before Christmas this year we had a HUGE snowfall. We had close to a foot fall in our town. Lee spent the morning plowing and shoveling and then the boys and I joined him for some fun in the snow!

Chirstmas at The Park

About a week before Christmas our babysitter, Erin, took the boys to the local park to see Santa Clause. The park was decorated with lots of cool Christmas decorations, and the boys really enjoyed seeing everything.

Krue loved telling Santa what he wanted for Christmas this year.

Kiefer, not so much.

Here is Erin and "her kids". The little girl in the middle is another child Erin babysits for in our neighborhood. She took all three to the park. (Santa is keeping an eye on Erin!)

Krue and Kiefer having fun!

Kiefer wanted his face painted... this time Krue, not so much :)
Look how serious and proud Kiefer is with his face paint on!
Thanks, Erin, for taking such good care of the boys and exposing them to fun stuff like this. They love you!

DeKalb Chiropractic Christmas Party

Last Friday, Lee and I took the staff of DeKalb Chiropractic out to Club Soda for a nice meal and Christmas celebration. We exchanged gifts and had wonderful conversation. We appreciate the girls who work in Lee's office so much. The work very hard and are terrific at what they do!

Krue's Name

I've been meaning to post this picture. Krue knows all of his letters well, but has never attempted to write them out... or tried to write out his name for that matter. The other day we were coloring and I asked him to write his name. You can see the results from the picture above. I couldn't believe it! I didn't help him at all! Pretty good for 3 1/2. I praised him so much for doing this... now I can't get him to stop writing his name :)

Habanera Christmas Party ~ 2007

Lee and I are members of a club in our town called Habanera. It is a fun group of people who get together 4 times a year at the local country club, have a nice dinner, listen to a live band, and dance. This is our third year we have been members and we have really enjoyed it! Lee and I are getting to know everyone pretty well and we are working hard, along with our good friends and neighbors, the Blythes, to bring in a younger generation :) The best part about this club is their Christmas party they have every year. It is a black tie event... so a great excuse to buy a pretty dress and get all glammed up! This was a special year because it was Habanera's 60th anniversary celebration. Lee rented a tux for it and everything. Here are some pictures from this very fun, and always exciting, night.

Daddy's Shoes

Kiefer at 22 Months

Krue at 25 Months

I don't know what it is about little kids, but they always manage to find their Daddy's shoes and try them on. Krue did this when he was younger and now Kiefer is doing it. Kiefer is so proud of himself when he actually works his little feet into Lee's big shoes. He does a pretty good job of walking around in them, too!

Krue's Date with Aunt Ali

Yesterday my sister, Ali, took Krue on a date. They went to Sesame Street Live at the Embassy! He had a blast with her and can't stop talking about it.

Aunt Ali spoiled Krue to death... Cotton Candy AND a Mountain Dew...

Sugar Buzz here we come!

The neat stage with all of the Sesame Street characters.

Ali and Krue watching the show... Krue's face cracks me up in this one.

"Yeah, I'm cool sitting here drinking my Mountain Dew. I never get to drink this stuff at home!"

Thanks, Ali, for these special memories!

Two Ornery Boys and One Christmas Tree

The other day I walked out into our family room and found this...

Two ornery boys (with stockings on their heads) in front of our Christmas tree. They thought they were so funny! I did too, obviously.

Here are some more pictures of my two little stinkers and a pretty picture of our tree this year...
