A Bridesmaid Luncheon for Little Amos

Mamaw, Me, Megan Hasler, Amy Alan, Alex Fisher, Mom, Amy, and Michaela Yaste
Last Sunday, my mom hosted a Bridesmaid Luncheon for Amy and all of her bridesmaids, flower girl, and Mother of the Groom. It was so much fun! I didn't get any pictures of the cake or decorations... but they were adorable! We pulled charms from the cake that told what our future had in store (mine was a wreath for happiness). Mom played a some fun games and we had a FABULOUS meal! Not all of Amy's bridesmaids were able to attend (most live out of town) but it was great with the group that we had.
Thanks, Mom, for the wonderful afternoon.

Beautiful Amy

The Tire Swing

Krue and Kiefer absolutely LOVE playing with Lauren and Graham on their swing set. As soon as they see them outside, they beg to go over and play. Their new favorite thing to do is to get on the tire swing (all four of them) and swing. Mel captured this shot the other day. We are so lucky to have neighbor kids the same age as the boys to play with (and so nice for the moms to have coffee together!)

A "May Flowers" Shower for Abby

Last Saturday, the Nagel girls threw a bridal shower for Abby... our soon-to-be sister-in-law! We did a "May Flowers" theme and it turned out really cute. The shower was held at Brandi's house.

One of our food tables... we had everything labeled with a flower name (ex. Perfect "Petunia" Punch and "Forget-Me-Not" Fruit Tray)

This was our door prize/favor table. Everyone got to take home a framed magnetized picture of Dan and Abby (Thank You Brandi!) plus a very cute handmade wine glass charm with the first letter of their name on it (thank you Amy!) I made up the flower cards for everyone to write some words of advice on... and if their card matched the flowers on one of the flower cups, then they got to take it home with them. It was fun!

The Cake

Aunt Shelly carefully cutting the cake... it was raspberry flavored. Yum!

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day this year Lee went to Vegas for a bachelor party (no joke!) so I spent the day with my boys and two of my favorite mothers... Mom and Mamaw. We drove down to Indy and met Adam, Natalia, Amy, and my uncle, David for breakfast. Then we went to Adam and Natalia's house to open presents. We hung around their house for awhile until Krue and Kiefer (and Dad) took naps... the rest of us went shopping! It was a fun, fun day.

David and Adam taking care of Krue and Kiefer for me. How nice!

P.S. Lee did bring home 3 beautiful hanging flower baskets for me for Mother's Day before he left for Vegas. The boys made me some cute cards with babysitter, Erin... and they picked out some pretty silk flowers with Lee at Walmart... the boys idea :) Krue picked out red roses, of course, and Kiefer picked out yellow daisies. So sweet!

More Cute Tee Ball Pictures!

Kelli sent me more tee ball pictures and I had to post them... they are too cute.
These pictures were taken on the team's "Picture Day" last Saturday. Kelli captured some cute shots on the side.

Go DCC!
Lee was in Vegas so he couldn't make the team picture :(

Krue chewing on his glove during the game. Must have been needing some extra calories for energy.

How cute is this shot?

Kiefer wants to be out there with the big boys.

First Batch of Bradley Students On Their Way...

I am excited to announce that I have finished teaching my first group of Bradley students! All 12 weeks have been completed and the husbands have their coaching cards. What a wonderful feeling to know that I have helped these couples feel comfortable and confident to have their babies naturally. I can't wait to meet their little ones... it should be sometime in the next month! We are going to have a reunion party ~ I've become pretty attached :)

Indianapolis Mini-Marathon

This past weekend Lee and I ran in the Indianapolis Mini-Marathon! It was an amazing experience, and we are so happy and proud to have completed it. I ran the race in 2 hours and 9 minutes. Lee ran it in 1 hour and 40 minutes!!
This is a picture of the race participants lining up at the starting line. There were over 35,000 people in this race. We were walking across an overpass and I was able to capture this shot.

Sara, my sister-in-law, was the person who talked me into running the race in the first place. Lee decided to do it with us once we were signed up together.

We also had many Auburn-ites and friends running the race. Shane & Kelli Heath, Neal and Melanie Blythe & Phil Snover were some of them. We were constantly recognizing faces while we were there... Gina Weldy, Amy Fenstermaker, Joe Thomas, Vickie Snider... Bill and Julie Hiemach, Jeff and Susan Turner.... and on and on.

After the race, we all rested at our hotel and then went out for the night in downtown Indy. It was a good time!
