Adam and Natalia's Wedding!

On Friday, August 29, 2008 Adam and Natalia got married. It was a beautiful wedding and such a fun and special event. I am so proud of my brother and where he is at in his life. Here are some pictures from the big day...

The huge church in Indy where they got married.

Adam and Natalia posing for pictures before the ceremony.

Ring Bearer, Krue, with Groomsman, Lee.

(Krue is thinking... "Another wedding? What are you people doing to me? I am only 4 years old and have been in 4 weddings!) He did a great job and is a pro at this point.

I love this picture of my grandmothers... Mamaw and Grandma Phyllis.

Also love these pictures of Adam with Dad and Mom.

The Elkins family (minus Kiefer)

Beautiful Natalia patiently waiting for the ceremony to begin.

Amy and Ali sang two songs during the ceremony. They sound so good together!

The vows

Outside of the church after the ceremony.

The following pictures were taken professionally by Shelly Valentine. She is a photographer that works out of Indy. These pictures are amazing!

These two are going to have the worlds best collection of wedding pictures. Check out a sampling of the professional pictures they have had taken in Indonesia already...

Yes, Adam and Natalia are in Indonesia for the entire month of September. Adam has created a blog to journal their travels. Check it out... it is so interesting and funny! Be sure to leave a comment. They would love to hear from you.
Lee and I, along with Mom and Dad, are traveling to Indonesia in less than a week for a wedding reception they are having for Natalia's family and friends. I will be sure to post pictures!

First Day of Pre-School

On Monday Krue and Kiefer had their first day of pre-school. They were both excited and talked about their new teachers, Mrs. Palumbo and Mrs. Beakus, a lot this summer.

This is Kiefer's very first year to go to school. He loved the idea of going to school like Krue, carrying a school bag, riding to school, walking down the hall to his class... but when we actually were face to face with his teacher and classmates he cried and wanted me to stay. Mrs. Beakus was great and said to me, "We've got it from here, mom." I left and he cried a little bit more but was fine the rest of the time. He had a ball! When I picked him up from school he ran to me and exclaimed, "Mom, I went to school. Are you so proud of me? I played the drums and maracas!"

Krue is an old pro when it comes to school. He is going four days a week this year from 9-12. He was excited to find out that he is in Lauren's class this year. Krue loves telling Kiefer about school and what he is supposed to do :)

Here are my two cuties.

Riding to school with Lauren.

Krue is already picking on Lauren. I keep telling Lauren that he does that because he likes her.

Jet Skiing With Dad

One of the boys favorite lake activities is riding the jet ski with their dad. This is normally used as a stand up jet ski, but Lee has the boys sit down and he steers off the back. They love it!

Krue takes a turn.

Krue likes to go fast, but not too far out.

Kiefer's turn.

Kiefer likes to go out by the buoys.

The Kief & Kruser

I had some miscellaneous summertime pictures of the boys that I thought I would post. Enjoy!

Cold Popcicles on a Hot Summer Day.

A Summertime Favorite... Sweet Corn!

Watching our hot tub being installed. The boys loved the bobcat.

The Kief (our accessories boy)

He wore this outfit for an entire day!

Riding a chopper like Daddy.

Kiefer loves Lee's snowboarding helmet.

He wore it for an entire afternoon... reading books and all!

Kiefer loves to put on winter hats as well (even when it is 90 degrees outside).

He likes his winter boots, too!

Punching the punching bag.

Lee let Kiefer pick his outfit out on this day. We were impressed that it matched! I made a sticker for on his shirt that read, "I dressed myself today!"

Kiefer got a shiner right before Dan and Abby's wedding. He fell in the driveway.

He loves his "paddies".

Kruser (growing up so fast!)

At the eye doctor.

Shootin' some hoops... a favorite past time.

Figuring out how things work (another favorite past time). Here is is trying to figure out how the garage door opener is balancing on his knee.

We just love our boys and their unique personalities.

Mastering the Potty

For the past couple of months we have been working on potty training with Kiefer. At this point, if we keep a pull-up off of him, he will tell us when he has to go #1. He even stands like a big boy to go in the toilet! However, he hasn't quite mastered the art of #2. Kiefer has gone #2 several times in the toilet... but it is not consistent yet. I'm sure our neighbors have had a little chuckle with Kiefer running round half naked this summer. It was the best way for him to realize when he had to go.

Here are some cute pictures I took during our potty training adventures:

A Camouflage Belt for Krue!

About 2 months ago (that tells you how far behind in my blogging I am) Krue tested out of his yellow belt and into a camo belt! He was asked by his instructors to lead the belt testing for his classmates. Krue took this job seriously and did a great job leading the moves for the other kids. This fall we are picking up a couple of specialized taekwondo classes that his instructors recommended ~ sparring and the black belt club. You should see the gear he has to wear. That is a picture in itself!

Here are some more pictures of Krue modeling his new camo belt...
